2009 JV FUTURES CUP DATE ANNOUNCEDPosted Monday, May 18, 2009 by Tim Hourahan  2009 JV "FUTURES" CUP On Tuesday June 9th the 2nd addition of the "Futures" Cup game will be played at Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School at 4pm. The game will feature 8th graders going to Lakeland HS vs 8th graders attending Walter Panas HS in the Fall of 2009. Their will be an 80 minute regulation match- which will feature referee's from the Lakeland Varsity Soccer team. At the end of the Game the Cup will be presented to the winning Coach who will keep the trophy for 1 year until the next contest played in June of 2010 In 2008 the Lakeland Soccer team defeated Panas 4-2 in the innagural "Futures" Cup held last Spring. The MVP of the Game was Gonzalo Prando who had 3 goals and 1 assist.  |
